Before your Session
Before your session, I invite you to meditate on how you would like to spend our time together. This will help you mentally clarify your treatment goals. Feel free to call or email with any questions about the work before you come in.
The day before, I will send a confirmation email with directions to the space. If you have mobility issues, please let me know in advance. There is a small set of steps which can be avoided if neccessary.
Arriving to the Space
I recommend you arrive 10 minutes early for your first session. Once inside, I will greet you with water and tea. You will have the opportunity to use the restroom and hang up your things before we begin. Arriving early will help you settle into the space and allow you time to fill out a brief intake form.
What to Expect
We'll start together by discussing your health history and your treatment goals. You will have time to ask questions about myself and about the work before we begin. Together, we'll develop a plan that works best for you.
Next, I'll invite you to remove your shoes and move onto the treatment table. I will use a light pressure to gently facilitate the release of restrictions throughout your body. During the session, I may ask you questions to bring awareness to your breathing and physical body. This helps facilitate physical release and integrates healing within the nervous system.
After the table work, you will be able to ask any questions you have about your session. I will check in with your physical body for completeness and do any final adjustments that may be needed. After, you will have plenty of time to integrate with water and tea before heading back on your way.
Following your Session
Ideally, you will be able to take plenty of time for yourself after your session. People often find the session deeply nourishing and relaxing. If possible, you may want to take a few hours of down time to continue to integrate the work. Avoid working out or heavy activity directly after the session.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I schedule?
After your first session, you will have a good sense if you and I are good fit for reaching your healing goals. I recommend scheduling a three session introductory series as this work tends to blossom within that time. After a series of three sessions, most people find themselves well on their way to relief/resolution for what they came in for. The frequency and duration of your sessions will depend on your health history and primary treatment goals.
What should I wear?
Feel free to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and that allows for some movement.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance.
Are treatments safe for children?
Yes, because the work is so gentle, treatments are safe for all ages.
